"I'm different"
Thank you for dropping in for a visit.... whether you grew up in Richmond or Glen Allen or are new to the area and my practice, I hope feel very welcome!! Here's my Mission - my purpose for doing what I do:
My mission is to help as many people in lifetime as I can enjoy a healthy life.
Whoa.... hold on a second. How was I , a chemist for five years, going to make that possible! What path took me from chemistry to chiropractic, from Atlanta to Richmond, Virginia. Well, I decided to quit my job and turn my hands into an amazing instument of healing. I graduated from Life Chiropractic College in 1986. I now have been a chiropractor for 25 years. My practice is a family-based Wellness center taking care of moms, dads and their children. My mission to help as many people as possible enjoy a healthy life means I am constantly studying, reading and attending seminars in Richmond and around the country so I can fully understand what our bodies and my patients need.
I have been married to my beautiful wife, Pam, for twenty eight years. Tania, our wonderful 25 year old daughter graduated with high honors from the University of Virginia with a degree in Science Engineering in 2008. She is now at the University of Colorado in the Phd program in Chemical Engineering. She has been a wonderful joy and inspiration for the both of us. I could go on for pages about her, but I won't. My hobbies are studying the mind/body connection and self improvement. I also have been an avid runner, completing 20 marathons. This includes 5 Boston marathon for which I had to qualify. I have also completed many triathlons in the last 10 years, the longest being a half Ironman. My present greatest hobby is kiteboarding, which I consider to be the greatest euphora producing sport I have ever particpated in. Enough of that.
I strive to learn and be the best. Many years ago, as I first practiced in the Richmond and Glen Allen areas, I discovered there were a lot of people who were scared of being adjusted with the techniques that caused a popping sound in there spine. Since that time I have become very proficient in low force techniques that are gentle for infants, chldren and adults alike. These techniques correct subluxations without a lot of force or a popping sounds. That's what makes me unique and able to say confidently "I'm different" from the other chiropractors in the Richmond area.
